The main idea is that watershed lines in manual lymph drainage mark where drainage territories meet, and the sagittal watershed sits on the midline that separates left and right sides. The sagittal plane runs vertically through the center of the body, so the boundary between left and right drainage regions lies right at that midline. Therefore, the sagittal watershed is located directly in the center, dividing drainage toward the left from drainage toward the right.
